Top 20 of the Best Female Rock Songs

This week’s compilation brings you the Top 20 of the best female rock songs, according to Music Video Meaning. The voices you will hear are of true Wonderwoman!

What you will find in this compilation with the best female rock songs

We chose a series of famous singers and others less known but equally strong. Some tracks are very popular, while others are only familiar to the most ardent fans. In a nutshell, we tried not to be discounted with musical choices and we hope you enjoy this playlist.

Here are our choices in detail. Let’s start with Arch Enemy: they are a Swedish death metal band and they formed in 1995. In their musical career there are 10 studio albums and three live albums. In 2000 the singer and frontman Johan Liiva left the Arch Enemy and the singer Angela Gossow came in his place. In 2014 she preferred to help the band from behind the scenes and left the microphone to the Canadian Alissa White-Gluz. She is the powerful voice that you will hear in the song “The Eagle Flies Alone”.

Subsequently there is a song by the Finnish Nightwish. In the song “Nemo” you can listen to Tarja Turunen, because the song is from 2004. The following year the singer left the band. Anette Olzon joined the band and sang with them from 2007 to 2012. Today, Nightwish have Floor Jansen at the vocals.

Within Temptation is a Dutch symphonic metal band and in this compilation we listen to their brand new “The Reckoning”. The song is from 2019 and it is in collaboration with Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. The main item is by Sharon den Adel.

In the compilation we also find the Cranberries with Dolores O’Riordan, who sings one of their successes, “Salvation”. From Evanescence we listen to “Sweet Sacrifice”, part of their 2006 album “The Open Door”.
With the Paramore we always remain in the 2000s, precisely we go to 2007 and listen to their “Crushcrushcrush”, sung by Hayley Williams.
Gwen Stefani of No Doubt sings “Ex-Girlfriend” (2000). The Holes make us listen “Skinny Little Bitch” and there is no need for introductions: Kurt Cobain’s wife realized this great success in 2010 and you surely heard it on the radio!

Shaka Ponk take us to France and let us hear their music which is a mix of rock, electronic, punk, funk and hip hop. The frontman is the curly and sparkling Samaha Sam.
Anouk is famous for her “Nobody’s Wife” which, however, has tired us a little and here we go to listen to “Toghether Alone”.
At the voice of The Pretty Reckless we find the blonde Taylor Momsen, while with the Skillets there are the two musicians Korey Cooper and Jen Ledger. EMMI’s song may be misleading you at the beginning: it’s slow but then you’ll feel it grow!

Why are K’s Choice brothers in this playlist?

We’ll let you discover the other songs by listening to them. We want to leave you with one last detail: K’s Choice is a Belgian band formed by brothers Sam and Gert Bettens. So you’re probably wondering: why they are in a Top 20 of the best female rock songs? Sam Bettens was born as a woman and now he is a transgender. His voice is still incredibly feminine with some ambiguity. In any case it is very pleasant and the band are really good.
